Job description

Help AG is looking for a talented and experienced Cybersecurity Technical Writer Specialist who will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, including user manuals, training materials, white papers, and online resources, to support our cybersecurity products and services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cybersecurity concepts, excellent writing skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

Job requirements

Responsibilities

  • Documentation Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop comprehensive technical documentation for cybersecurity products and services, including user guides, installation guides, API documentation, and release notes.

  • Content Creation: Research, write, and edit content for a variety of mediums, such as blog posts, case studies, and white papers, to educate stakeholders on cybersecurity best practices, industry trends, and emerging threats.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of technical documentation by conducting thorough reviews and implementing feedback from stakeholders including engineers and product managers.

  • Documentation Management: Maintain version control and organize documentation in a centralized repository, ensuring that all materials are easily accessible and up to date for internal and external teams.

  • Training Support: Develop training materials and conduct workshops or webinars to educate internal teams on cybersecurity technologies, protocols, and procedures.

  • Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity trends, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements to continuously enhance documentation and contribute insights to product development and strategic planning efforts.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to gather information and ensure alignment on messaging and content strategy.

Qualification & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.

  • Proven experience (4+ years) as a technical writer in the cybersecurity industry or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and protocols, including network security, encryption, authentication, and vulnerability management.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Proficiency in documentation tools and software, such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Markdown, and version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
